Gainsford Environmental Consulting has been operating since 2008. Recent expertise includes projects from the water supply (potable, recycled, wastewater), water storage (dams and lakes), heavy industry (manufacturing and recycling), waste management, facilities management (eg schools, emergency services, and government buildings), and recreational infrastructure sectors in NSW. Projects have also been undertaken in Victoria, Queensland and Malaysia.

Recent Projects

  • Plain English concept design report, Modification Report, and post approval compliance documentation for a landfill and quarry expansion for Griffith City Council.
  • Strategic planning advice and EIA for NSW Public Works including:
    • Independent Environmental Advisor to State Water Corporation for the Chaffey Dam Augmentation and Safety Upgrade EIS
    • EIAs for new cycle paths and recycled water systems for Ballina Shire Council
    • Peer review of REFs for emergency service facilities eg Fire Brigade and Ambulance Service
  • Planning assessment report for NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
  • Planning approval coordinator for over 2,400 projects as part of the federal government’s economic stimulus package in NSW schools.
